  1. 03/2025 – 08/2026

    Instashop UAE (Delivery Hero Group)

    Full-Stack Software Engineer

    • Built platform administration subsystems for a fast-commerce startup, managing a catalogue of 3M+ active products and 82k+ daily orders across Dubai and Egypt, with third-party API integrations.
    • Built an LLM-powered workflow that lets non-technical stakeholders retrieve product and relational data in natural language instead of manual queries, with LLM tracing and evals.
    • Cut database load and cloud costs by redesigning AWS Lambda workflows in a serverless architecture, with Kibana and CloudWatch alerting to stop duplicate processing on retries.
  2. 08/2023 – 12/2024

    Convert Group

    Full-Stack Software Engineer

    • Led the migration of an enterprise application to Angular 16 — standalone components, optimised change detection, Signals, NGXS and SSR — for a 30% gain in rendering performance.
    • Wrote unit and E2E tests with Jasmine and Karma to 95% coverage, sharply reducing regressions and state-management errors in production.
    • Worked with the data science team to bring AI-powered analytics and LLM agentic workflows into the platform, helping retailers spot market trends and consumer behaviour.
    • Shrank the production bundle by 40% and improved Core Web Vitals through tree-shaking, and set up secure source maps for faster debugging.
  3. 02/2022 – 09/2023

    Smart Up / Agora AI

    Software Developer

    • Built an Angular web interface for supermarket brands, fed by a mobile app over REST, with shopping lists and voice-driven product search.
    • Mentored two international interns on data scraping and automatic product categorisation with spaCy NER models, saving 20+ hours of manual work a week (Python, Django).

    Frontend Software Engineer

    • Delivered React frontends for a range of clients — an investment bank landing page, a research data portal for a bio lab, and an SPA for a sports club that lifted youth sign-ups by 23% — mobile-first and WCAG-conscious.
